About US

The Cambridge Minor Football Association (CMFA) has been operating within Cambridge since 1974. Our organization provides boys and girls ages 6 – 19 with football development and training through a number of programs, camps and leagues throughout the year.

CMFA Goals:

  • Make a difference where we live and how we live. Our members believe that ALL kids deserve equal opportunities, special attention and respect. We welcome everyone, regardless of financial capabilities, location or background, and pledge to support minor football and to do our best to help build a stronger community.

  • To promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, the highest moral and physical standards, as well as the importance of academic achievement.

  • To provide a wholesome competitiveness within the scope of our rules and regulations that will protect our football players.

    About Football

Football is the epitome of the team sport where everyone has a role, and is integral to the success of the group. Players will build their character learning skills in leadership, adversity, cooperation, collaboration and develop true bonds with their teammates. Football at all ages is a contact sport, where we teach our players the safe and effective techniques developed by Football Canada’s safe contact program.

    What you Need to Play

CMFA makes it easy for all players by providing almost all equipment needed to play. Through the cost of registration, we outfit our players with Helmets, Mouth Guards, Shoulder Pads, Jerseys, Pants and Leg / Waist Pads. Players keep their Jersey at the end of the season, however all other equipment must be returned as per our Equipment and Registration Policy. Players also are required to purchase their own cleats, however we do offer a play it again cleat program for those looking to take advantage. CMFA also has a number of player assistance partnerships and programs which can be found [here].
