Condolences and Notifiction of Loss to our Football Family

It with great sadness we must advise our membership of the tragic death of two members of our football community. On Wednesday morning Don and Spencer Edwards were killed in a car accident.

Don Edwards was the President of the Ontario Football Alliance and has been active in the Ontario football community for years. Don has been a leader in the province for driving football in this province. Don's leadership and warm smile will be missed by all administrators who have worked with him.

His son Spencer most recently played on our Cambridge Lions Varsity team this past season. Spencer will be deeply missed by his teammates and coaches. Although Spencer was only with the Lions one year he had a great impact on his teammates and will be remembered by them all.

We cannot express how deeply sorry we are for this tragic loss and can only give our deepest condolences to the Edwards family. I ask we all give our thoughts to the Edwards in this difficult time.

There has been a GoFund me account established for anyone wanting to assist the family.
